One of the most common questions received as of late involves changing the
database to match the new EPR/OPR categories.
This has been given a lot of thought but the decision is against this concept.
The main reason against organizing it in that way involves how the bullet is
wrote, not what the bullet is about. For example, if you write a bullet
about taking part in a professional organization, it could fit into Section III
part 2. Yet if the person led it then the bullet could be placed in part
5. Or say, the person created something for the professional organization that
helped others outside of the organization than it could be placed in section 4.
Finally, if the work done in the private organization was really outstanding and
could be considered a best practice then it could be placed in part 6. Thus,
trying to pigeon hole a bullet into one section could be done, I would rather
stick with categories about the topic and have the writer do their part and make
it fit the section.
